Instructor: William Rosado, PE, PMP
In this two hour course, the engineer will learn about the successes of the 200 West Pump and Treatment Facility Construction Project and the successful integration of the core values and green energy technology. Engineers taking this course will gain a thorough understanding of how to design and construct a large treatment facility while also meeting LEED certification standards. This course engages engineers in key topics such a sustainable treatment facility design, successful project management strategies, and effective design and construction processes. This course does not focus on the technical design facility, rather the methods used to complete the project successfully.
Engineers taking this course gain a variety of effective project management strategies to make the design and construction of large projects smoother. By learning from this case study, engineers learn how to overcome common project pitfalls and to better avoid typical project mistakes. This course also better introduces engineers to the integration of LEED certification and eco-conscious design into the project life-cycle. Lastly, the course covers approaches used to ensure the quality of construction and testing are properly integrated and conducted.
