Ian Falu, MBA, PE, PhD
Dr. Falu completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez Campus and an MBA from the same institution, followed by a Master’s degree and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He did his dissertation on Control Theoretic Analysis of Highly Distributed Manufacturing Systems where he has published several papers. Dr. Falu’s experience dates from 1994, serving as an engineer for Intel and a Design engineer performing different projects for Caterpillar, John Deere and Cummins in the diesel engine testing industry. He is also a Certified Drafter and worked at SolidWorks as a Quality Engineer helping release the 2007 version. Dr. Falu has recently been in the academic field, teaching at several institutions in the area of dynamics, math and computer science.
Ramon J. Figueroa, MSME, PE, EdD
Dr. Figueroa completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez Campus and a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He did his dissertation on I-CARVE reverse engineering and published several papers on the topic. From 1999 to 2003 he developed software to simulate manufacturing systems, to reduce cost and increase flexibility. Dr. Figueroa earned his EdD from Edgewood College, with a focus on online education, and has held a variety of teaching positions in Engineering, Robotics, CAD and Math. He is a licensed engineer in Wisconsin and Puerto Rico and is a certified member of the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA). He has a variety of skills in computer programming, software and statistics.
William Rosado, PE, PMP
Mr. Rosado graduated in 1997 with a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez. He worked for Redondo Perini JV as Assistant Project Manager on the Tren Urbano, one of the largest construction projects in the history of Puerto Rico. He was in charge of the project scheduling, cost control, procurement coordination and change order management. From 2001 to 2006, Mr. Rosado was promoted multiple times in a series of Project Management roles with increasing levels of responsibility. In 2006, he founded Project Management & Engineering, PSC, a successful company providing Project Management and Engineering services. In 2016, Mr. Rosado joined K2 Construction Consultants, as a Senior Consultant managing more than $200M in projects as a forensic claims expert. Mr. Rosado has been a Licensed Professional Engineer in Puerto Rico since 2000 and Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida since 2016. He has various certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) and OSHA’s 30 hours training certification.
Juan C. Borrero, PE
Mr. Borrero graduated from the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez with an Electrical Engineering degree. He earned his Master’s degree from Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. He has over 20 years of experience working in Operations, Maintenance and Construction of Transportation and Telecommunication Projects, including Tunnel and Passenger Rail systems with emphasis in train control, power distribution, IT/communications and SCADA. His expertise also includes Telecommunications where he has worked with Fiber Optic Distribution Frames, Fuse Panels Racks, DSX panels and DC power distribution for Telecom equipment. He is knowledgeable of Six-Sigma methodology for process improvement and control (DMAIC cycle). Mr. Borrero’s experience includes Project and Vendor Management with emphasis on cost-effective solutions. He is an effective communicator/trainer in both written and spoken English and Spanish. He is also trained in Safety and Environmental regulations: OSHA, RCRA, HAZWOPER, DOT, SPCC and SWPPP.
